I have a wonderful memory of Mother's Day every year (except for the year I insisted on going swimming, and Mother made my life unbearable about it).

Every year Mother would go out in the front yard and pick rose buds for my brother and I to wear.  We would put them on matching shirts (also compliments of Mother) and proudly wear them to Sunday School.  Don't see many kids doing that these days, but it was a civilizing force for two kids who needed it pretty badly.  Peace.

I like your blog name and your premier(e?) entry. Great picture and story.

Happy Mother's Day!

Hi David,
That is just too sweet! I didn't know Betty did that but I think I'll share with Chanda. Sounds like something Kristopher & JoJo might benefit from.
Take care,
Kristy

Thanks for the comments - I had forgotten about that particular family ritual until I was looking through some photos last week. I was a really nice memory.
